About OT for Learners
Services are provided by Lucy Wheatley, a Registered Occupational Therapist who has experience working with children and their families in various educational, health, and therapeutic roles.
She is a Member of Occupational Therapy Australia (OTAUS), and is a Professional Member with SPELD NSW.
Lucy holds a Bachelor of Nursing (1st Class Honours) from Sydney University, Master of Occupational Therapy from Sydney University, and Post Graduate Diploma in Special Education from Macquarie University.
Occupational Therapy Services
Lucy takes a holistic approach to assessment and intervention, implementing principles of sensory processing, positive behaviour support, and cognitive development into her occupational therapy practice. She understands that each child is an individual with their own unique strengths and developmental needs, and looks to the latest research to implement evidenced based practice to achieve optimal outcomes. Tutoring Services
Lucy has worked with children in various special education settings and has a particular interest in helping children with learning difficulties including providing support for reading and writing. Lucy uses evidenced based programs to achieve best academic outcomes including the Multilit, Talk for Writing, Spelling Mastery, and REWARDS programs.
